Didn't a high end car (think it was Merc) have a handprint scanner... seem to remember some story about an extremely high end car being car-jacked and when they couldn't start it the owner said it was hand/fingerprint instead of a key - so they chopped his hand off.

I know that were I an iPhone thief I'd be happy to lop off a thumb so I could change all the security features and sell it on, I mean opportunistic phone robberies are the same as violent machete armed car jackings yes?

Aside from the fingerprint thingy, so now we have a choice between an expensive ostentatious jewellery phone (gold FFS?) or some plastic ones in pastel colours. I want one because iPhone has been the best I've used, but the aesthetics get away from what makes Apple great from a design point of view IMO.

I quite like the look of the plastic one.  Think I will get a 5C in red. I have an upgrade due and can live without the fingerprint security and 120fps video which appears too be the biggest difference between the 2.

I fancy a 5C as well, but the fact the 5S is 64bit makes me think the 5C isn't going to have nearly the lifespan.

But I might chose lime green over lifespan...
