what a pile of shite that was…

I think the only reason I'll think about taking a look at the next episode is the Daleks...
Yes! I know we've disagreed on films in the past, but you're bang on, on this one. It was very, very dull.
I thought the only good bit was the "i'll help you breathe" reptile lesbo snog…
being an alien, maybe they could have made her breathe out of her tits..
that would at least have been a bit more interesting and have stirred the "blah blah complain!! yours, angry from Surrey" lot into action.. lmao

Technically it's against the law to have sex with a reptile ... :-)

Remember, it's easier to criticise than create!

Madame Vastra is not an alien, she us a Silurian, a species of Earth Reptile. I think that when it comes to your idea, the alien/indigenous argument may be a bit of a moo point.

I believe so as I don't think you can marry a reptile although a woman did marry a horse once but I'm not sure the marriage was consummated. Madame Vastra does have an amazing tongue though .... ;-)

Now stop all this nonsense.  You all need to get a grip.  Dr Who is a CHILDREN'S programme made so that kids can hide behind the sofa when the monsters appear.

    It is not for grown-ups.

You should not be discussing Daleks or Cybermen one you pass your 14th birthday.  Continuing to watch Dr Who marks you out as a socially inept virgin.

    Here's a 'Batman' to illustrate....

You're right Emp, you could stand to lose a few pounds. The outfit makes you look good though.

But...it's fun to be a kid again sometimes. This is probably why we're all happy geeking out over it and you're in a permanent, ever-intensifying hate spiral ;)

It's a family show, which isn't the same thing as "for children", unless Toy Story is ust for children too.

    Just watched it.

I kept waiting for Peter Capaldi to let loose a stream of post-watershed invective.

It was a bit of a dog's dinner. Like someone had thrown all the plot leftovers into the proverbial frying pan and dished up the burnt remains.

Moffat needs to tighten up the scripts and stop being so 'silly'. (i.e.think 'Blink' and 'Midnight', those were really focused episodes)

I think they spend too much time on the 'trauma of regeneration' stuff nowadays. Be more like the old days - a bit wobbly for a while and then just get on with some Doctoring.

  • Here's my very brief thoughts :

    I thought Capaldi was brilliant.

The Matt Smith appearance was totally unnecessary.

The plot was no worse than any of the Smith episodes I saw.
