I recently played an Epi Casino with Fralin pickups. I have to say, that guitar into a bright amp is the sound you've heard on a zillion records, and quite a revelation to me, a confirmed Fender bloke. Small frets though, which I wasn't keen on. Nice chunky neck, however.

I've been tempted by one of these Epiphone Wilshire reissues, a lot of places have reduced them to £299...

This is the best guitar I've ever owned!

Trent Model 1 thinline with Trent P90's . Plays amazingly well and sounds fantastic, also light as a feather.  Descendant Jazzmaster trem and bridge which adds some sustain with increased string tension behind the bridge. I play in about eight bands and my other guitars have hardly had a look in since getting the Trent, it's really versatile and just fun to play.

Another great one I've played is a friend's Peerless- made Casino from 2005 ( has a chunkier neck than earlier ones). But this only sounded great when the pickups were changed to Mojos.

I had one of those, although black and maple board/moons. I modded the switching with a standard CRL 5-way switch and a push-pull on the tone to turn the bridge pickup on, since I didn’t like the clicky stock switch and I wanted to be able to get the middle pickup alone. I never really liked the sound of the bridge pickup though, it was too nasal compared to the other sounds.

I traded it for a Rickenbacker when I want really using it, which in hindsight I probably shouldn’t have done - I miss it sometimes.

What a stunning looking creation and I can well believe it’s even better than it looks!!

After recently picking one up I can't recommend daniels guitars stuff. He mainly doesn't vintage accurate but also stuff with a twist. At a glance mine looks like a 56 les paul  junior but with a different headstock. However it has done modern twists which make it infinitely more playable.
I'm assuming you meant you can recommend it!  :)
...and presumably "he mainly DOES vintage accurate..." :-)

Caught up in a negative loop here!
