I have the original strap buttons but dont have suitable screws for them.

I've done a few things to mine which some would frown on, such as: swapping the neck pickup for a Dimarzio 36th Anniversary, changing the knobs to brown and installing straploks and all pots and caps.
I was going to get it refinished, but I'm growing to like its character.
Anyway, good work on the restoration. A great guitar saved.
they are really great guitars for a simple design.
This is my other Standard, stripped and oiled 7 years ago.

I think the oiled finish is the best look. I wish they'd made one like that; if I saw one, I'd buy it.
