Yeah, I hake people like that. I came to that conclusion fairly quickly, I didn't have to mullet over.

I think its because people like talking scallops on the net. Eggs is another one that seems to attract punnery. I have had un oeuf of it all.

@Sporky to try to answer your original question: People who like guitars/amps etc. a. find fish words funny and b. have the spare time to sit about on the Internet making up puns. I can't prove it, but that's how it eels to me.
