  • Surely music made in the last decade or so isn’t ‘old’ yet is it? I think the music I grew up with is old, but 10 years or so seems fairly recent (with the obvious caveat that both the creation and consumption of music have increased).

I don’t know. Maybe something released last year is classed as old now. Seems a bit silly though. Good music is timeless after all.

Ten years is a long time in non-historical-reenactment music.

Well, then I like old and new music. Same as it ever was.

Also the whole thread is a bit tongue in cheek.

The demise of CD, my main music medium/source of new music, is one of the reasons it is so hard to get to hear any new music.
    Ray-Dee-O.

If you want to be with the cool kids, use one of the apps that gives you online access to radio stations worldwide (eg Radio Garden).

I get lost for hours picking on random dots (ie a broadcasting source) on the virtual globe and listening to stuff.
Good God man, life is too short to waste listening to a radio, especially an online radio station.  Bring back CDs if new acts want to get better known.
Um, you do know that almost all music is still available on CD?
