I saw then in 1992 and they were so bad I've not not been able to get back in to them since.
I fell asleep last time I saw them.
I remember you mentioning this before and I've probably given a similar response! I think in those days it was dependent on what fame of mind CC was in... we now know he had serious issues with alcohol and mental health. When I saw them in Reading 94, he seemed moody and not a happy bunny.. also Kim's guitar was too low which probably pissed him off... it was a broody performance and they didn't seem to want to be there. Whereas I saw them in Wolverhampton Civic Hall in 96... they were more energetic and more on it. The Hyde Park Performance in 2012 was for me the best of the 4 times I saw them.... they played magnificently, the sound was spot on, Cornell was by then a better, more professional frontman... they don't rely on any stage antics etc, just let the music do the talking (which might be boring for some admittedly).

Back Street Kids on Technical Ecstasy is not a great one; mind you, the rest of the album isn't up to much either.
I Thuwenda on Difficult To Cure is a song I particularly dislike, but again the rest of the album is forgettable.

I love Rush but after I've heard Overture and Temples of Syrinx it's straight on to A Passage to Bangkok.

There is no 'H' in Aych, you know that don't you? ~ Wife

Turns out there is an H in Haych! ~ Sporky

    Bit of trading feedback here.

Will be considered some kind of sacrilege on here no doubt, but the first track on Rumours is like some kind of lousy nursery rhyme, followed by an absolute classic in Dreams.

I might not be alone in this as it seems to be the third-least streamed track on the album despite being track one...

I've got the album - because it's one of those albums I thought I ought to have - but I can't even remember that track.

It's the weird "lay you down and let me do my stuff" one - like an anthem for Prince Andrew in a sixth-form college.

Just listened to it... I'd blanked it out of my mind, I guess.  Yes, weird to have such a filler track as the album opener.  Although I quite like the blend of their vocals on the verses.

They were far too talented as musicians to do something utterly shit of course, but certainly my candidate for a "what the fuck is that doing there" opening track on a "classic" album.

all my music is either via Ms Alexa  or ripped on to USB in the car,  which is always on random shuffle  - there are plenty that get "skipped" depending on the mood/journey

    Second Hand News.

Great track - there isn't any filler at all on Rumours, one of the few albums that's genuinely true of. Dreams is one of the best but it isn't an opener.

The only mistake - or actually it was deliberate, Lindsey Buckingham being a prick (again), apparently - is that Silver Springs isn't on the original album.
