I'm guessing it'll have a similar look and feel to the Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck books that came out over the last ten years. A mix of photo book and bio. Looks really promising.

Seriously? My beatles gear book was about £150 and recent new goldtop lovers one was £50. Proper quality books are expensive.

Brilliant!  I bought Clapton's 'Six String Stories' and Billy F Gibbons' 'Rock & Roll Gearhead', both hardback.  They sit, still in their shrink-wrap, on my 'To Be Read When I've Retired' bookshelf.  Come October, Johnny's book will join them.

I'd better speed up my plans :-)

I’ve seen a photo of one of the signed ones that has arrived… also, I just got an email telling me that the expected delivery date is October 24! I hope it’s amazon being cautious. On the plus side, it’s £7 cheaper than when I ordered it.

How is amazon for book shipping in the UK these days? Do things turn up in good condition? 

Out here they've sent several books in plastic bags recently. Always dented...

Wow. You could cut the pages out of this and have some very nice art (guitar porn) adorning the walls. I am however still on the fence even though I’m a superfan because I’m a tight Northerner.
