It's a fair handful but a really lovely profile. I hate these '58' '59' generic profile terms bandied about as they are not that accurate - all those guitars were handmade by real life humanoids back I the day so they all differed.

It's probably going by modern profile descriptions near to a '58' style but has a lot more rounded characteristic and for me, much more inviting to play.

Would a Suhr Classic Antique be of interest in trade/px?      Amazing guitar but a Les Paul would suit me better.

Out of all the pre-'74 Kalamazoo Goldtops I've had, the ones that had the tone were always the fat neck examples (think mid-2000s R9 profile). It's not easy to find those. After '68, many had a funky neck profile - starting out very flat like a 2000s LP Classic, then getting big around the 12th range.

If I wasn't in the EU, I would have probably already got this one. I love fat neck early Deluxes.

Thanks kindly - fully agree as these bigger necked ones really sing. I had an earlier issues early Deluxe from '69 at the same time as this and on paper a 'better' guitar but this wiped the floor with it so sold that and kept this.
