I'm keen to test the theory that they have VPN-protection in place...
    Red ones are better.

Is this the deal we've been waiting five years for?

someone earlier in the thread said there was something big to be announced during testing after I commented the dell deal was smaller than expected and Alonso's personal clothing business appears to be the main sponsor.

Possibly still in negotiations, which might explain why they spent the week going for glory on the hypersoft tyres.

Zak's gone a little lukewarm so I'm not sure what's going on. He was quoted as saying they had a big announcement. Maybe the new potential sponsor wants to see a solid performance in testing.

British energy drinks group Rich Energy is set to announce the £200m acquisition of the Force India F1 team, which could come as early as this week ... interesting.

I bet they'll be some on track fireworks between Red Bull and these guys ... Red Bull have the better car but Rich Energy will have the best engine. I wonder who they'll recruit to run the team/design the car?

Rather poor timing, as it looks like they're potentially about to lose some significant sales:

They are not in that market. They are very upmarket.

So upmarket they herald Rob Lee like he was Zidane and big up their sponsorship of the West Ham Ladies team. And possibly so delusional that they think the male West Ham team is a world class squad. Low debt... well, it helps if your stadium is one of the dodgiest deals in London!

    Hmm.

Where does a drink I've never seen anywhere manage to get to this level? Looking at the Facebook page, the Feb 19th entry boasts of financial meetings in London. Seriously? And then you get press releases like this...

"This is the latest in a line of strategic deals as Rich Energy rapidly become the leading energy drink brand in Europe and grow not only in aviation but Premier League football, Extreme sports, Boxing , Equestrianism, Sailing and Motorsport. World class products and design from the UK."

    https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/rich-energy-partner-uks-premier-helicopter-service-william-storey

World class products, possibly. World class use of the English language? No.

One wonders if this is a PR stunt.

Reading the testimonials on the website, it feels like a windup.

    http://richenergy.com/testimonials/

    And via Companycheck:

    https://companycheck.co.uk/company/09791667/RICH-ENERGY-LIMITED/financials

So it's a company with shit financials, laughable online presence, a CEO who seemingly has his LinkedIn articles written by a congenital idiot, and a product base I've never seen for sale anywhere but you can buy them for £40 on a website in a nice gift box.

Next week: Birds Eye buy out Ferrari.
