Anything that keeps RB in the sport is good. Ferrari are rumoured to be introducing a completely new engine concept for 2022, so a freeze could be *very* interesting...

In other news, it looks like they're bringing the next engine update forward to 2025, agreeing to the following basic framework

1. Environmental sustainability and social and automotive relevance

2. Fully sustainable fuel

3. Creating a powerful and emotive power unit

4. Significant cost reduction

5. Attractiveness to new power unit manufacturers

#2 and #3 seem to be the major ones - presumably that means biofuels or hydrogen and LOUD.

Can't see it being hydrogen. No real use for the road cars where electric is clearly the way almost all mass makers are heading.

Yeah, broken jaws can be really tricky ones for length of time for healing. Can't stick a cast on it, so you either have to pin it if it's bad, or just try and rest up to let it heal naturally (like with a broken rib). Either way, I wouldn't want to be strapping a racing helmet on for while...

Do Alpine even have an official reserve driver if he isn't fit for the start? 

They have a good bit of a history with Hulkenberg, so I bet he's gonna be sat anxiously by his phone for the next few weeks, waiting for a call...
