well, the crumpet rings have been despatched, however unless I'm lucky I won't get them till Monday at the earliest. Really, this thread should've been started earlier. It's a complete lack of consideration, starting this thread so close to the weekend.

well, the rings arrived this morning so just made a batch. Bit of a faff (well, huge faff actually) but the results are far better than the shop bought stuff.

Did I say it was a bit of a faff?

I buy a toaster based on 2 factors:

1 - Does it do 4 slices at once ?

2 - Are the slots wide enough to take a Warbo's Crumpet ?

Get it toasted twice, once to warm it up, second to get the top nice and crunchy.
