  • Dry since 2011. Not because I was an alcoholic (I drank rarely even then) but because it reacted badly to medication I had at the time. I've never missed the alcohol although I do drink non-alcoholic beers because there are some foods that HAVE to have beer with them. Pizza and curry being the obvious ones.

Decker, you're a folkie. Folkie's are supposed to drink lots of Old Fartbox real ale. Clearly you need counselling about the alcohol-free beer.

    And for being a folkie.

apparently most alcohol free beers are low (0.05% or below) rather than no alcohol.  they brew the beer as normal, but then it is removed.

Cobra Zero is a bit different as it never gets brewed in the first place, which makes it one of the only alcohol free beers out there and is therefore suitable for people who are not supposed to consume any alcohol

its a moot point and included more for trivia, low/no alchohol beer has no place in my world

  • Our singer's stopped the booze for this...as a result, at least three pubs in the area have gone out of business.

    She scares me.

  • I don't drink enough for something like this to be worthwhile. I guess for some people it's a lot more of a challenge though.

I find it funny when people want sponsored for doing it though, that's up there with "sponsor me to go trekking in the andes" - err, no, that's just a holiday, pay for it yourself!

well, after writing that list yesterday, and waking up with a stinking hangover this morning, I have been thinking about the idea of giving up booze again.

There is no point me going cold turkey, it just won't happen.   but i think I can limit myself to one bottle a night and go from there

so, one bottle a night it is!
