I was walking down Princess Street in Manchester some years ago and Bernard Sumner walked past me in the opposite direction.

A few years on and he was two ahead of me in a queue in a butchers in Alderley Edge.

About a year later he walked past me again in Wilmslow.

By then I'd had enough. I said,"Oi Barney Albrecht - or whatever you're calling your self these days - are you stalking me?"
