Would you rather be a great player or famous?

Great player. Im not at all, but im lucky enough to have a family member who is world class mustard on the classical guitar.  Segovia invited him to take part in the segovia guitar competition where he finished top 4 in late 80s at age of 17-18.
I would love to be able to express myself like he still has the dexterity to do.  He can silence any room once playing , bring some to tears, and inadvertently command infinite encore requests.
