Small-to-Mid sized delay - not large or tiny

What's out there?

I'm looking at delay options for a mostly jam-based band, thinking Verve, QOTSA, Death Cab, sort of vibes in terms of guitars.

So far I threw together a brilliant little Nano+ board which sounds utterly fantastic. I'm keen to keep the vibe, but the ADG-1 has no tap tempo and it breaks my heart. Also the ability to recall a preset or 2 would be good.

What exists that might do the trick? Ideally something with some ability to add dirt and EQ to the repeats, and definitely some amount of warble. My other favourites are the Eventide Timefactor and Strymon Volante but neither of those are going to fit on this board.  I'm not dead-set on "actual analog" but prefer things at the more vintage side of things tonally.

Soooo.....

Walrus D1
Strymon Brigadier
Strymon El Cap
Suhr Discovery (this really does look like a good opportunity to try one of these)
Benson Delay
Boss DD200

Can the Boss DM101 do 2 delays at once, in which case it could *maybe* replace the ADG and Deco. Though I'm keen to keep the Deco unless something else can do the same noises.

Anything else?

DM-101 can indeed do two delays at once e.g. in multi-head mode. It’s frickin’ huge though.

    DOD Rubberneck?

I also just remembered that the Solidgold EM-III and Diamond Memory Lane exist, so will add those to my list.

I have a feeling the big Boss is brilliant but not what I need for this purpose, similar to the Volante.

Rubberneck is a good shout though. I also wish the Walrus Meraki was smaller (and half the price!)

Jam Delay Llama Xtreme perhaps? That said, the Rubberneck is amazing.

Too big, I think. I also have some - possibly irrational - dislike of Jam stuff just from a visual perspective as much as anything.

A quick skim of Peach & CME throws up the KMA Cirrus, Red Panda Raster and Alexander Rewind - any experience of those among the collective?

Or poss the Keeley Halo and Caverns/Parallax (no tap on these 2?). The Halo in particular seems to have had a lot of buzz online

Can’t fault you on that basis, I’m not hugely keen either. Sounds great though!

Somewhat ironically I feel like a Dig might work well. I had one before and didn't love it but the v2 looks clearer to use and I'm actually playing stuff more geared towards that feature set.

The other guitar in the band also has a Flint which sounds amazing. I assume this is how everyone ends up with ALL THE STRYMONS

I guess Chase Bliss will also pop up eventually but I don't think I wanna go quite that dense and full-of-switches...!

Haven't tried the Suhr, but they've just brought it out in a cool blackout colour....

The DD200 is very good but there was a fair drop in volume on my old setup when using it that was a pain to dial out because of how the rest of the board was set up.

For small with vintage voices and 2 presets (plus ramping, tap tempo and expression pedal control) the GFI Orca is brilliant.

The Delay Llama III is wonderful. I loved my Xtreme but it kept on having a fit and randomly shitting the bed so not workable for me.

Been uploading old tracks I recorded ages ago and hopefully some new noodles here.

Free The Tone Cosmic Wave would seem to tick a lot of boxes?
