I always go back to the El Capistan. It’s just a great delay, plus it has spring reverb and some nice modulation can be had too.

Free The Tone Cosmic Wave would seem to tick a lot of boxes?

Ta. It's funny because that looks great but my gut reaction was "how does anyone ever tap a tempo when the buttons are that close together. So I guess what I really want is a middle-sized delay and not actually a small one :D

Or... I free up the Deco to go back on my main board, say fuck it and buy an H90...

providence chrono  was the nicest delay I ever used.  Didn't work for me as i need more than 2 presets so I'm on a DD500 but the Chrono sounded fantastic.

Also, the TC nova IB delay is actually surprisingly good.   Has  an annoying kill switch button which can be accidentally pressed but its a versatile and decent delay.

Would the Free The Tone Future Factory fit? For me that's the perfect delay pedal.

If the Suhr offers the size, format and functionality you want, just do it. It's going to be great and if I'm not mistaken, seems to be the one you want :)

Honestly right now I'm between the Suhr and an H90 replacing the ADG and Deco since they apparently just released a proper Deco patch, and obviously it has all the old Timefactor delays that I know I already love.

The H90 is also available over here and while still expensive, it's way cheaper than the UK price..! And then maybe I would finally sell my Timefactor once and for all...??

(but I also still covet the Suhr...)

imho answer to the original Q is Halo (it has tap on board - hold then tap - or a mini external tap can be added if that’s easier
    Red ones are better.

Also 2 presets immediately on hand with no tap dancing, a further 6 on hand with additional presses, or loads via midi
    Red ones are better.

You've got me thinking about the H90 now. It would solve quite a few wants that I have - delays, reverb and univibe.

I had one for a while - I think FTT misjudged the advertising for it. It’s basically the FTT digital delay engine in a compact box with tap tempo. It’s a tall box so easy to tap, has easy access to 2 presets from one footswitch and stores up to 128 I think. Runs at 9 volts so not quite as much headroom as a Flight Time or Future Factory. Good sounding box if you want a digital delay with some interesting modulation and eq options.

Keeley Eccos? Standard-sized pedal with tap tempo and three presets, plenty of warble and sounds fantastic.

There's also the TC Flashback v2, which can have tap tempo with a tiny external switch (you just need a patch cable with slightly odd wiring). The Flashback is basically the perfect Swiss Army knife of delay pedals, IMO.

Have you considered the Universal Audio Starlight Delay? Sounds fantastic, tap tempo, a couple of presets..!
