Don't recommend Rapanui flannel shirts though. Cut for the surfer beach bum look. I favour the more preppy Uniqlo style.
Vermont Flannel Co. for any flannel shirts for me.

Just checked and it was £38 for one shirt and £72 for 3. I think I bought 4 last time a few years back and haven’t needed any others since.

I’m very into “buy it for life” or as close as I can get, so I don’t mind spending the cash if it’s going to last longer and is more ethically made than whatever you’re going to pick up in ASOS or whatever.

Anthem Heavyweight Tee shirts are the closest quality I could find in comparison to my son’s Carhartt WIP shirts.

The nicest tees I've had are from chunk, they do unprinted ones as well as all the graphics. Nice and thick but super soft, and they literally last for years.

Colourful Standard do terrific plain t-shirts. 100% cotton and made in Portugal. £30 a shirt but if you look around you can pick them up for around half that.
Worth every penny at full price. Great quality & fit. Other plain t-shirts that cost the same haven’t lasted nearly as well.

I’ve been getting mine from Crew lately. Good quality and long lasting. Slightly on the thick/heavy side though (which has been great so far this year which, let’s be honest, has felt more like November). However now the weather’s warming up I suspect I could do with something thinner.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

How do you get away with it!

Difficult not to need to iron cotton ones.

I tend to wear technical T-shirts these days, aka sweat wicking ones. They never need ironing.

The less obviously sporty ones can cross over to casual use.

I’m surprised no-one’s recommended those fancy* Japanese ones from The Bear yet.

    * expensive to import, nice, but not actually fancy

I struggle a lot with t-shirts (due to the autism) esp when there are labels.
T-shirts need to be soft and not get stuff and gritty after a few washes like a lot of clothes do.

The best ones by far are True Classic.
They are an annoying company who spam you all the time but their shirts are exceptional.
Soft and fit well- I wear a large (42" chest)

    Then American Apparel.
    Then Uniqlo.

Two things though- don't put them in the dryer- hang them out.
Also don't use too much washing powder- a tablespoon is enough for a wash, otherwise the clothes go crispy.
The True Classic ones look good, are the ones off Amazon legit? Just seen they're on there for £28 so not bad for a good quality tee. Tempted to get 1 to try out.

I'm a medium size so they're the most popular selling one so many places are out of stock of them.

American Apparel comes up alot (I think I saw a really old thread) but again, unless you get 'em off Amazon no UK retailers as far as I know.
    Never bought them from Amazon.

American Apparel are fine to buy from Amazon- at least they used to be.
I only get t-shirts from True Classic now though.

Don't scrunch it up in to a ball when drying or when it's in the drawer. Ditto shirts.

I mostly wear henley, unless it's under a jumper, but I have a couple of the Rohan cooling meriono T-shirts and they're lovely - really light, and almost no warmth to them.

Brutally expensive though. Only when there's a sale.
