Musk says Tesla will be producing and using humanoid robots next year. Tesla will use the Optimus robots internally first, and by 2026, other businesses should be able to purchase them. He's previously stated that the robots will be mass-produced and cost less than $20,000 each.

By the way, If you're thinking about buying a Tesla, Mr Musk has pledged $45m a month to the Trump campaign.

I would assume any robot from Musk would be programmed to tell me how great he is, and also void its warranty if it ever gets wet.

    Also presumably 2026 and $20k means 2030 and $35k

That seems slightly irrational given that Trump and his cabal are actively opposed to the technology that made Musk rich, but on the other hand he’s not renowned for being rational.

With every passing day, Musk is morphing into the Bond villain he always wanted to be.

Anyone know if he's bought any sharks lately?

The great thing about sexbots is when not in use at home they can be left out on the pavement to earn some extra cash from passers by.

Sounds perfect for the wealthy techbro incel as they can have the sex slave they actually want and leave the real women alone and un-molested.

If the robot could stand at my bench and manufacture the same stuff I do unattended then I would spend 20K on one. I suspect these bots will be more aimed at carrying boxes and stuff though

Great. I'd want one that made me a cup of tea first thing in the morning. It could pre boil some water and start the brew just before I got up so it was ready when the alarm went off. It could even have an integrated alarm buit in! And a little light for those winter mornings. I'd call it Teabot2000 or something.

When I was in college, I had a drip coffee machine that I would plug into a light timer. 15 minutes before my alarm would go off, the coffee machine would kick in and I wake up to the smell of fresh coffee.

    No need for Musk.

I like Musk, he is more switched on than most. Id have one of his sex bots but it would need to give a decent foot rub.

They are on the road today of course.

Some people don't like 'em. What a surprise.
