When you escaping work for Xmas?

I finish on Tuesday until the 5th which is great, (working in education has its advantages) for the last 2 years I've worked in bars which has been fucking mental-80/90 hours a week of hard hard graft, Xmas day off and that's it. Lots of cash and laughs to be had but I'm having a better December this year!

Lots of smug people in work today leaving till next year....who's finishing today and who's working it-you have my sympathies?

work for ourselves, so everyday is a work day (well, mebbe take xmas day off) though not all of it is money work (it may be food work, warmth work, shelter work etc.).

probably Tuesday - I've got a few jobs waiting to be done with a couple of them waiting for parts, but none of them should take too long so I've got plenty of time between now and then.

It's my Fifteenth year of working for the emergency services and the first time that I get Xmas eve and Xmas day off .... Back on Boxing Day night though... Still could be worse.

I finished college a couple of days ago, but I don't escape work until 7pm on Christmas eve. And I think I'm back at 6am on the 27th.

And I have a bunch of college work to do over the break as well.

I used all my annual leave to revise for my exams earlier in the year, so I'm in until 23rd, then back the next week with only NYD off.

On the other hand I'm sat here at my desk drinking wine and eating cake with naff all else to do so it's not that bad really

And that's only as I had to use 3 days annual holiday up (And I got Xmas booked before cockchops).

Tomorrow night is the Christmas 70's/80's night.

Sunday is a quiet day........

Working till whatever time they decide to tell us to bugger off on Christams Eve, back on the 5th.
I actually like working the last week before Christmas because so many people are taking holidays. It means there's far less people to break things so I get to do some proper work (code) as opposed to just mopping up other peoples mistakes
