I saw it in the late 70's I think, don't recall it being censored - the local cinema used to run "trash" films on a Sunday afternoon, and a whole bunch of us used to pile in there for a laugh.... Nothing else to do back then on a Sunday pm. 

The trailer is a laugh on it's own - especially the talking "beast".

I saw it at a local cinema in the late 70's. They used to run "B" movies on a Sunday afternoon - well, there was nought else to do on a Sunday afternoon back then.... The trailer on youtube is a laugh in iteslf.

That's pretty much how I saw it too - I used to go to the cinema every Sunday afternoon when I was at University. 

In those pre-multiplex days there were, I think, 3 cinemas in Bath, 6 screens in total so some weeks I'd end up having to watch something less than ideal.  On a good week there'd be a horror double-bill or some very obscure martial arts movies (Iron Ox, the Tiger's Killer springs to mind).  On a bad week I might have to resort to Flesh Gordon or something really boring like Come Back to the Five and Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean.
