No - but the OP is threatening that he will inflict a good scalloping on it, along with a Floyd Rose, if no one buys it.

I think he's trying to guilt-trip a guitar lover into buying it.

Mind you, threatening to ruin his own guitar certainly makes a change from the ubiquititous "Going on eBay soon".

Decided against a Floyd now (the fancy nut in this means there'd be a gap between fretboard and locking nut ... Too messy for me. Had a chat with Feline about scallop and maybe getting a ghost MIDI pickup in there (I'm screwing resale anyway, so why not go all in)? I like Malmsteen strats, but really miss that 22nd fret.
And yes, I'm also guilt tripping ...

A bit of an oddity this one. It's not a "standard" 2010 Custom Deluxe, I have one and did extensive geeking at the time before I pulled the trigger. They came with a bone nut, "A" flame maple neck, didn't have the S1 switching, and the saddles look a little different on yours too.

I'm not insinuating anything, as I know that the nature of a custom shop can be, erm, custom thingies, but it just doesn't match the specs of the 2010 "production" CS Custom Deluxe.

    Hmm ... odd. Can't say I know why it's "non-standard"

I'll send a note fo fender and see what they say. Paging @MattFGBI ... what's the best way to check?

Email the serial number to Fender typical 24 hour response in my experience.

Cheers - I've just emailed them now. See what comes back. Funny (to me at least) if it isn't standard, given what I'm planning on doing to it if it doesn't sell :)

    Sold (well, traded) pending completion.

Looks like this gets another stay of execution ...

    EDIT:

Just after sorting this, I heard back from Fender - they've very kindly sent me the "Custom Shop Floor Traveler" pdf for the guitar, which does state that it did have a roller nut and S1 switching (model names is down as "CSTM DLX STRAT MN "V") - 2TSB". I didn't realise that the pickups were Area 58s and a 61 in the bridge, I was going to put one of those in with an injector ... it's all academic now though!

    Yay! New guitar (fingers crossed)

Exactly. Swapped it for another one, like this one, but different.

I won't jinx it by posting anything about it yet, but if anyone actually cares, I will once I get it (Friday by the looks of it).

Absolutely. New guitar days are VERY important in this neck of the woods.

    Go on, tis it???

oh, shame it's sold, this thread has been the funniest thing for quite a while. Gotta say that @SquireJapan 's consistent humour under pressure has been a pleasure.

I just wish you had kept it and scalloped it, maybe stuck some EMG's in too, on that basis, I'm hoping the sale falls through  :))
