Wisdom awarded for Radar Love. Came on the other night whilst in the car, great driving song.

    Another - Boston's More Than a Feeling.

Not very guitary I'm afraid, but I often have the Chemical Brothers in my headphones on my motorbike.

I used to have a mix tape for the car, years ago. Struggling to remember what was on it.. Acdc, Rory, god knows what else.. Southside Johnny is great for driving to, and Tom Petty without equal, when it comes to music to iron to..
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

1990 - windows down in the Cortina, booster on, door speakers making the mirrors all shaky. 2.0, twin 45s, some Old English and the Friday Rock show ftw.

Madison Blues by George Thorogood and the Destroyers.
I play guitar because I enjoy it rather than because I’m any good at it

Not a pun ( honest) but Traffic.

All their albums from John Barleycorn on: great, relaxed grooves that won't get the heart pumping or make you lose concentration.

A lovely 'jam' band but nowhere near as predictable or snooze-inducing than their american contemporaries.

I don't drive, but I must say it is very odd seeing Nils Lofgren with a Dean Baby Z in that Springsteen clip.

About 40 years ago, camping holiday in Cornwall with the lads, Dark Side of the Moon and Echoes were on the cassette deck a lot as we bombed around tiny country roads going to and from the pub. Still good driving music now IMHO.

A vinyl topped Cortina is hard to beat. Serious. :)

Bad Company - Can't Get Enough. A staple of every 'Driving Rock' compilation out there and rightly so IMO.

Neil, with the best will in the world, I HATE playing that bastard track at every gig we do.

    Highway to Hell- Chris Rea.

Really, I think the best driving music is classical. It's nice and soothing for when you're caught in bank holiday traffic jams and most city driving. Time passes slowly but surely and I never feel road rage building up inside me.

Yeah, it's a killer to get anywhere near the original, if your drummer ain't swinging it and you're not in Open C then it'll sound naff.
