    Some info.

I'm sooooo happy with this as the nigh on a hundred photos on my computer will now testify to as well as my callouses. Such a monster thick neck but so easy to play, sounds ridiculous but it's quite dark in tone yet still cuts through very nicely. Probably my new main gigging guitar, for now at least.

Fantastic. I agree that it's almost certainly from 1998 rather than 2008.

The binding going a little yellow and the start of checking on the headstock is the giveaway.

Cheers for your help by the way mate.

Nice, I have a Big Baby Taylor so you wouldn't expect the highest quality but it's the only ebony reference I have and yeah it's miles darker than that.

Very very acceptable!      One of those with a floyd would be right at the top of my gas list.

It's got just enough signs of age to give a little character - looks ace!

I'm actually thinking of replacing all gold with worn nickel.

And obviously, a Bigsby. *ducks for cover*

I'm not sure about bigsbys on LPs but worn nickel is awesome on Customs. I still wouldn't want pickup covers though.

Whenever I have money again I might go that route but keep the original stuff in case I need to sell ever etc....

Be warned that if you do fit one even using a Vibramate, it will still mark the finish. My friend just found that out on his 3-pickup 57RI… the finish is soft enough that just the pressure of the felt pads has left dulled imprints. Luckily the guitar was not even close to pristine anyway.

You're most welcome. The serial number font also looks earlier than 2008.

Step away from that Bigsby. ;)
