Posted about my new AMT stonehead Solid-state amp in a facebook group for Djent/Extended range guitarists. 
All very very positive remarks until one troll tells me "[I] should probably die" for liking solid state.

He then goes off one one about how SS amp and Dirt pedals suck and how tube>EVERYTHING and how in his experience tubes are warmer, louder, better more powerful etc.

I clicked on his profile and he plays a fucking Peavey Valveking 100 

I can't stop laughing.

Djent - a very popular form of technical modern metal using lots of downtuned/7/8-string guitars, electronic/ambient elements, often solid-state or digital amps (Axe-FX etc) and a shitload of noise gates and compressors:

Christ I feel old watching that. It does strike me odd how now younger players seem divided into either guys in indie bands with a 70's tele Deluxe. who can barely articulate anything on the instrument. Then these Djent & Prog metal guys who seem to have lots of technique & are playing guitars with 8 strings on.
