Anyone using 11s in standard tuning?

I took a notion and ordered two sets of Ernie Ball 11s and I don't find too much of a difference between them and the 10s.  The difference in tone is slightly noticeable, but not a great deal.

Bending isn't too much of a problem, although will take a week or two to get used to.  I could see myself sticking with them for the time being.

I use 11's. Sometimes 10's on Fender types.
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

I find them a tad too heavy and I need to protect my hands..
I use 11-52's for Eb tuning on a 24.9" scale length and it works fine.

I use 11s on my PRS and 10s on my Strat.

I likes a bit of fight.

I use 11s on my Rickenbackers as I use them as mainly rhythm guitars.

Suits some guitars more than others. For example, 11s on a tele kill a lot of the tele-ness for me.

I had some for a while on a Gordon Smith GS2.

Not a happy combo in the event, although the bowed neck came in useful in dealing with hecklers at an open air festival at Agincourt.

I use 11s in standard tuning on everything, for any style of playing. They just sound and feel right to me.

With a plain G string on a solid electric, wound one on a semi-acoustic.

Oh dear ... my GS2 has 11s on at the moment but now I'm worried ....

I don't think they sound significantly different but I prefer the feel of them to 10s.

Why are you worried?  Gordon Smith guitars do have truss rods...right?

Yes, but it never seemed happy what with seasonal changes added into the mix.

Bit of a so-so guitar anyway. Happily sold it.

Are you guys using 11s in E standard tuning? I actually find alternate picking easier as the strings aren't flopping around as much.

All you Jaguar guys are cheating… 24" scale, they feel like 10s on a 25.5" :).

Speaking as a former (stupidly) Jaguar player ;). It was the Jag that got me into 11s actually - if I played one now I might have to go up to 12s to get the feel I'm used to. Although I don't really notice much difference between my Strat-scale guitar and my Rickenbacker (Gibson scale), so who knows...

11s on my Jazzmaster and on my Jaguar (but that don't count as it's short scale).
