Either bridge, neck or both. I'm no expert at all, but the HB that I have installed into most guitars is the bare knuckle nailbombs, so I'd probably go for that in the bridge

I'm like broken record talking about Suhr aldrich,  but I'm enjoying the BK Emeralds in my LP standard and the 57/66 emg's were a nice surprise - I like them a lot more than previous emg's I've tried.     The Aldrich are still winning though.

    Bridge wise

    Di Marzio

    Double Whammy

    Tone Zone

    Virtual Hot PAF

    Bulldog

    Extremist (customised with Alnico5 magnet)

All are awesome in their own way. Besterer for high-ish gain rather than sparkling clean (Marshall style dirty clean is good though)....

Ringleader of the Cambridge cartel, pedal champ and king of the dirt boxes (down to 21)

    Depends:

High output: Suhr Aldrich neck/bridge or Evo set
Medium output: Fred at bridge, 59 or Air Norton at neck

There's others I really like, but if I had to narrow it down, that's my list

A set of shed PAF's completely transformed one of my sg's. Such a beautifully sweet little guitar now. Only
Problem I find is that live the output is noticeable lower than my SG custom (89/90) so I have to boost the signal to get back on par.

I have another set here waiting to go in my r7 at the mo. Would be perfect for me with a touch more output, although I'm sure that may change the tone(?) so swings and roundabouts I guess.

    Tonerider Alnico II (bridge)
    Tonerider Rocksong (bridge)

    All heartily recommended.

Dimarzio k10's the old Hondo oem affair.
8kohm, ceramic I think but you wouldn't believe it, its bright, warm when reigned in a bit and punchy when needed.

PAF Pro (older ones sound nicer - seriously)

Very interested in the Bareknuckle Hawks. Can't tell jack from youtube demos, so might just buy them and try.

Throbaks are very nice if you're looking for low output Humbuckers.

Original  PAF's from the 1950's are not unsurprisingly excellent, if you're looking for that kind of bucker sound.

Looks-wise, anything by Bare Knuckle. Want a gold raygun-cover Rebel Yell in my Tokai, primarily for aesthetic reasons :D

Sound-wise... hmm. Quite possibly the good old DiMarzio Super Distortion.

Increasingly though, I don't like humbuckers for anything but super high gain. For clean to moderate gain I prefer single-coils, P-90s or mini-humbuckers. Once the Mesa starts really singing there's no contest, it's got to be humbuckers, but I've never liked them for cleans.

Bare Knuckle Miracle Man and Duncan JB's in the bridge.  '59's or similar in the neck.

Having tried a lot of HB's over the years, I find that I generally prefer those with Alnico V magnets. They seem to have the punch and clarity I like without the harshness of some ceramics. Pickups are a really personal thing though.

Duncan 59 or Antiquity in the neck; Screamin' Demon or Custom Custom in the bridge.

Or something to about those specs.

My favourties so far have been:

Oil City A8 pickups - very hot, but still maintains clarity and warmth.
Seymour Duncan Black Winters - very misunderstood pickup...yes they are hot but they are very nice and dynamic too

My favourite from the limited selection I've tried is the Suhr SSV, particularly in coil tap mode. It's got a great chime but never sounds weak.
