Thanks guys, I did want something a bit unusual looking, whether it was the original gold or the natural wood so that it looks faux vintage. It's not for the usual rock style that SGs get used for - it's for cool chilled Jeff Buckley style strumming and borderline jazz, so I think that kind of sound just seems right with an instrument that looks like an old man.

Obviously, for clean jazz playing, an SG with James Hetfield signature pickups in should be the standard choice

Cheers dude. Yes the look of it was inspired by furniture, my kitchen table in fact. I quite like shabby chic if that's what it's called.
