    Looking good!
so if you fancy a reissue of a guitar they never made in a colour they never used then it probably isn't too overpriced.

    Thanks for the nice comments

I can't wait to get this done, I'm loving this limba.
I think I will contour the body but It depends on how it'll look with the switch cavity there.

I've got the strat sound clips we made that I need to post up, it's set neck limba too and played by Ramon goose, look him up he's bloody incredible.
He's got one of mine on loan until I make his.

Moving onto the neck, first thickness the veneer, i took most of it down using the router then finished on the sander thicknesser.
Glue on the route for our headstock shape, not traditional but i like it, some won't.
I'm using schaller grand tune open gear tuners with rosewood buttons, really like them.

    Right back onto the body.
I drilled a bloody long 1/2 inch hole from the cavity to the swith, like a les paul custom or junior special
I first line it up, i can't use the long bit to start so we pencil line it and brad point a start then drill into the cavity with a bit that will go past the other side of the cavity, you have to brad point inside the cavity, when i can't go any firther i clamp the body down flat and let the long bit follow the previous hole, worked out great.

Next up angle the pocket, i wouldn't normally use the bearing cutter but as i haven't done one of these before i cut the pocket flat the used the bearing to deepen it and work out how high i want my bridge, i aimed for about 12mm to allow for strings and so the bridge will sit flat on the body with a low action.

I get the fretboard area flat by using the same angle as my pocket and finish off with a flat tube with paper double sided to it

This just leaves the shoulders to fit, use a protractor to get the angle from the body and transfer it over to the neck mark just short of the 16th fret and do your cuts, i normally trim with a bandsaw first.
When it's trimmed i use a few thin alumimium flat plates with different grades of paper on one side.
Get the coffee down and crack on

Thanks, i've got a bit contouring and a heel cap to put on, the bridge is on it's way so not long before it's done

What do you think of it with a trapeze
