Quite a few around £25-27k, plus you have to factor in @Gassage's legendary haggling ability.

£18k might be a bit optimistic.

5 year old Cayman's start around £20k.

10 year old ones start around £12k- the 3.4S around £13k.

You won't find a decent Cayman 3.4 under 15/16k.

Porsches are about spec.

If it doesn't have:

1. Full leather (ie dash and door card)
2. Nav
3, 19" wheels
4. Heated sports seats
5. PASM
6. Is any other colour than silver grey or black

then you'll get it under that.

I've never heard of any sports car depreciating £2k in 5 years.

The cheapest one I seem to see is this: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201512019123583 which is just over £26k.

£26k down to £16k makes more sense than £20k down to £18k.

Not breaking your balls here, mate- genuinely interested in how the go, I've not had a Porsche.

The Boxster RS60 I linked has everything on it. I looked at one of those in 2012 and it was £25k. The one I linked is 22k with 54k miles.

Cayman. Just as good as all but the top 911s but better looking and easier to park. A friend just sold hers and it was lovely. I'd have bought it myself if she'd looked after it a bit more.

The BMW is dull and fugly.

The TT is no doubt excellent but very very dull.
