One of my facebook friends posted an apology this morning as apparently she realised (someone obviously told her) that some of her comments were nasty and hurtful (she was one of the Remainers calling everyone dumb racists) - Although she did qualify it by saying she stands by everything she said, just that shes sorry if anyones feelings were hurt.

I don't use Facebook thankfully but my wife has been genuinely upset by some of the "hateful" language used by some of her friends. You don't know what people are really like until you see them under pressure.

Any descriptions into the above?  I don't use FB and have no idea to the internal social politics it endures.

I have to say I am completely disappointed with about 75% of my Facebook feed. Most of them who have not given a damn about politics or economics until Friday are berating any Leaver with accusations of racism & financial irresponsibility and how the old have screwed the young- yet before Thursday the young were know nothing self entitled lazy little shitbags, since Friday the young have become the font of all knowledge apparently. 

The utter intolerance of opposing views to the point of the break-up of lifelong friendships and demonization genuinely saddens me. Before social media it was perfectly possible to be friends with someone who had completely different views to someone else, and discuss them in a mature manner, concluding with buying each other a cup of tea and cunting off Arsenal again.

After seeing some utter tosh posted by some of my friends after the result came in, I also considered a cull, but I also got sent the Winnie the Pooh thing above and decided against it. Amazing, the power of Pooh...

...BUT, I did tell an old school friend that I thought he was a complete moron BEFORE the vote even took place. He had posted a link to the story from Germany where some guy had opened fire in a Cinema complex, and no word of a lie, his comment on it was as follows...
