This has started rolling out and has been causing quite a stir,.
Hopefully it will officially launch int he UK before long.

Looks good for a bit of nostalgia!

You can download the APK for it and play it already. As I have done... It's pretty good, but nothing like Pokemon of old. You really really need to be outside to play it. Theres almost nothing you can do inside, and there's not much battling until you've caught a bunch of Pokemon.

I've been playing it, it's surprising how many others are round here considering it's not officially released. I've yet to see a girl playing yet though.

I was out in Newcastle today and learned stuff and noticed things I'd never seen before thanks to the pokestops.

The APK is allegely loaded with malware.
You can create an account on Austrlian App store, link your iphone to it, and download it that way.  My kids (18 and 24 .... nerds...)  have been playing it for a week or so.  They really like it.
Nintendo should have done this years ago.

Should be able to catch a Snorlax then, they don't move that fast

My phone is a £40 Alcatel, it works fine except for the AR. 

I think it's a certain type of guy that gets obsessed to that level. Not saying girls don't though.

I love it and even got my Mrs playing it. Servers are being bent though.

The APK file asked for some very strange permissions. Permission to access data and contact information, which my sister's official pokemon go app (she's in Australia), didn't ask for. 

I'd avoid it.

Spent an hour wandering around the new forest last night and caught only 1 of the bloomin things. It would appear built up areas might be better. Noticed a pokestop at the Tesco next to my office so i'll be visiting there at lunchtime. Oh dear I've really typed this haven't I?
