Can anyone link to the juicy bits of the TGP threads? I'm not sure I can be bothered trawling that many posts as I did with the Dumbloid saga...!

There's not too many one liners you can pull out.  A lot of it is funnier in the context of what went before.  Having said that I did like this:

I'm just pointing out that some people on TGP cross the line between being really into their gear and having mental health issues.

First impression, yeah it's a light/mid transparent overdrive. 10mins later.....BUY ONE it's great :-)

I expect it'll be klonish rather than a klone. I doub't EHX could be arsed with germ diodes for a start, plus there's a few ways it could be changed (for the better) to differentiate it a little.

Yeah I think JHS has a mod to it which makes it more like a klon. From his site it doesn't seem to have the Ge diodes.

Yeah. I know a guy on another forum who has the KTR klon as well said they sounded pretty much identical (though the pot tapers were different), to the extent that if he looked away for a while he forgot which one he was playing. If I remember correctly. )

People are saying the East river is a tubescreamer but it's got symmetrical clipping. Is a tubescreamer not asymmetrical? Or am I back to front?

If not, it could be a boss od-1 style circuit. The grandad!

I will get one at some point to compare and contrast, but from the pics, it looks very klonish. It's missing the unicorn tear germ diodes, but that's not surprising. Easy to get others with similar cut offs anyhow and I suspect they didn't want to make it an outright klone.
