That's a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang guitar!! ...Truly Scrumptious - & exactly what I'm after myself. :)   (Might you be willing to share a price with us?)
I started out with nothing..... but I've still got most of it left (Seasick Steve)

Custom Buckers.. It's the new post-2014 Reissue "almost exactly nearly completely the same as the original PAFs as we can dare get them without ripping the space time continuum" things..

Ok, it's really late. And I threw this together so it's mistake laden and sounds a bit naff. I've used the same riff thing as the Olympic review and on my Soundcloud is the same for the LP Special and the Ric 380L.

If nothing else you can hear what it sounds like compared to others that I have.. Fingerpicked section is Neck, Riff line is Bridge.

I'm going to have to do that recording again. There's so much bottom end on that neck pickup that I will need to reset the input level and tone it down - it's distorting my laptop speakers..!

  • Stick to fingerpicking as that sounded great.
    Thanks for the pickup description.
Damn.... Almost makes me want another guitar.

The thing about truly plain tops is that they're actually quite rare. You never notice the top while you're playing the thing though, right? HNGD

love it - lemon and tobacco are my favourite bursts... I also prefer a plain top but that's a nice subtle flame and looks amazing... Enjoy!

Lovely Les Paul that, in fact, in Sheffield we would say "It's R8 that"

    We would indeed :-)

looks mighty fine and glad you found one - Certainly does not look to glitzy - just enough flame etc - And did you take them a latte or is that my privilege still ?

Have you ever seen the original winding instructions for a paf pickup?
The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.
