Incendiary. Just came across this band on Spotify and I love it. It's like a hardcore RATM

I have a massive playlist on spotify and have it on random. I've just finished listening to all three hours of Marquee Moon and now there's the 12 inch mix of I Feel Love. I have eclectic tastes.

Here's a song I've been listening to a few times today.
James Yorkston & The Second Hand Orchestra, Struggle
It makes me think it's what The War on Drugs might sound like if they were British and in pub (before lockdown) playing folkish stuff.

  • Having reminded myself of it another Discussion on here Technical Ecstacy by Black Sabbath.

The band's attempt at a radio friendly album which surely can't have been all that radio friendly in 1976 although the smattering of keyboards gives it a broader sound. The boogie woogie piano on Rock n Roll Doctor surely an early premonition of the harm that was to befall many musicians in later years of having Jools Holland guest on a track.
The only song I particularly remembered was Dirty Women as Sabbath included that in their set on the 13 tour. Whilst Technical Ecstacy has some good moments it wouldn't be my Ozzy era album of choice although even on a bad album they were still pretty magnificent.

Anyway, this according to Wikipedia is a song about a transvestite President of the USA. That had passed me by until now:

  • I was watching this week’s Small Axe and trying to work out what some of the tracks were ( I knew Kung Fu Fighting!). This is the right choon for one sequence in the programme but I’m not sure if it’s the right version or not.

  • Got a few albums from my family today for my cake day. The new AC/DC on vinyl, and a couple of albums by the ridiculously talented Amelie Buun (who records under the name Myrkur).

One of the few death metal albums I can actually stand...awesome riffs. normally the cookie monster vocals put me off but I kind of like this.
