To be fair they might change the tone slightly as brass is denser than steel therefore the whole block assembly may weigh more with brass screws.

I find slot head screws sound better, but again only if you tighten them to a degree where all the slots are parallel.

If you use coach bolts, all the way through the body, then you get better plate/wood contact which gives a more full tone.

Honest.

You need Pre-CBS material coach bolts though. CBS really fucked with the mixture of metals globally.
