I've sold the Moog Sub 37 because it didn't turn me on.
I'm after mega growly brass sounds. Blade Runner type stuff (obvs). FM type stuff like the DX (so likely a Volca FM). And nice pads.
I don't mind a superb mono or a good poly, ideally one of each. But I'm reluctant to spend stupid on them when Behringer are knocking the little fuckers out for fun for just over a tonne.
They sound great to me, BUT, the worrying bit is the tuning issues with the likes of the Model D.
What say you?
I'm proper tempted by a Keystep, Model D and a Volca FM. Or a Minologue if I knew it could sound big and do sweet pads, but i am yet to hear what I'm after in demos. I dunno. Fuckin synths.

There are times when my old Creamware Minimax ASB sounds more convincing.
but the 2.6 demos of SO and its new full integration with older synth models. latest patches from key synth pioneers , the audio wav file import and manipulation ; innovative sequencer development etc all look like very compelling

I downloaded v.2.6 yesterday.
It now includes a bunch of D-50 factory preset patches, a few manipulated variations that employ the bit reduction and Granular synthesis parameters plus the benefits of all of the twenty first century D/A conversion, effects editing and no pitch tracking lag.
Eric Persing has been annoyingly good at this sort of thing for almost forty years.
