Apart from a bit of fun, why would anyone want a copy of a unique one off and pretty weird looking guitar? A guy I know a little has got one and when I was at his house I asked him and he said "I just always wanted one to look at" so that's what it does, it just hangs on his wall and he looks at it. If it was beautiful, like a lovely old Gibson Jazz box, I'd get it, but Red Special has always looked a bit ugly to me.
I personally wouldn't want one if someone gave it me for free, it's feck ugly and I've never been much of a Brian May fan either.
I do recall selling a couple of Guild BM models, what 30 years ago - They did all sell and you do see the odd second hand model from time to time - Not sure if BM still owns one and/or if he ever gigged one - It was a short term project and obviously pre WWW and forums so no 'bashing' back then - But just don't see the need for either party (Gibson/BM) to be involved in such a 'fake project'
I'd be amazed if it was for an electric of any kind with Gibson.
And as much as I like his black telecaster, we don't need a BM signature from Fender for that.
I’m so bored I might as well be listening to Pink Floyd
