  • I've been enjoying creating vibrato pedal effects recently, you can make them with the mix 100% wet on a 2 voice chorus block.  Also 18.08 is out with some more G3'd amps (mk2C+, RV, Herbie, Badger 30) and the old preamp tube models re-instated alongside the new ones http://forum.fractalaudio.com/axe-fx-ii-discussion/99014-axe-fx-ii-firmware-18-08-released.html

Just read this entire thread (there goes two hours).

Amazing resource for all things AxeFX.

It's been very interesting to tie in with my thoughts about the Ultra I've been noodling about with.
The sounds are most definitely there, but you have to work for them.

19 beta is out.  Definitely skipping the beta but would be interested to try the G3'd drive pedals when the official release is made.

    Nah Hoping to this Evo.

Really enjoying the G3 amps. But the drive pedals have never done it for me. Hoping these sound the biz :)

No! My policy is to wait two weeks for other people to identify any major bugs.  Anyway I'm in Amsterdam this week, and have a rehearsal and several gigs next week, so it will have to wait until June.

Not yet. Seems it makes changes to some patches and the current version of Axe Edit doesn't work properly. I think I'll wait for the official release and new Axe Edit.

Got it loaded, but only played a little.  Most of the drive models I have in my patched havent been G3'd yet.  Only the RC, which does sound a little better,  TBH though even when I have them in patches I rarely use them so ?????

Doesnt seem to have changed my overall patches much though.

Just updated.  Finding it difficult to know which drive pedals have been G3'd.  The release note says:

"Models that have been fully converted to G3 models are indicated in the name."

But... None of the drive pedals have G3 in the title.   So dunno which ones have been updated.

So... I tried the RC Booster clean boost because I used to own this pedal.  Tried it with the Lonestar clean amp and it seems pretty transparent.  It keeps the lonestar amp sound and pushes it a little harder, it's retained the feel of the amp too.  I quite like the sound of it.    Seems to act like clean boost should to my ears.

First time I've enjoyed using a pedal model so far.
