    two questions for y'all

    have we seen the last of the 2.5k lemon tops?

    and what price can we expect the 2019 58s to be?
    Yes I believe so, and there are 2018s about at £4k+.

    The range is being condensed down, so it’ll make a lot more sense
    is there any chance of you popping up in the Hudson Broadcast thread that you have been tagged in a fair bit? @peachguitarsdotcom ;
    The Bigsby was the first successful design of what is now called a whammy bar or tremolo arm, although vibrato is the technically correct term for the musical effect it produces. In standard usage, tremolo is a rapid fluctuation of the volume of a note, while vibrato is a fluctuation in pitch. The origin of this nonstandard usage of the term by electric guitarists is attributed to Leo Fender, who also used the term “vibrato” to refer to what is really a tremolo effect.

    So a quick wiring question (sorry, I'm not a Gibson guy usually and just seemed to have a moment of madness)

    Both vol controls are fine, but with the pickup selector in the middle (Both pickups) if the bridge pickup is up, but the neck fully off there is no sound - is that correct?

    Cheers

    It’s easy to wire it so it doesn’t do it, but then you have to drop both volumes to get it silent quickly.

    Also you lose a lot of treble if you wire that way. It doesn't matter so much on a Jazz Bass but you probably wouldn't want it on your Les Paul. Maybe a treble pass circuit would fix this side-effect?

    Great for that Ace Frehley/Randy Rhoads machine gun sound too.

    Very jealous of all these R8s.. just not in a position myself sadly.

    Treble bleed is great but it won't change your life vs 50s wiring IMO. I'd take the path of least resistance in this case, no pun intended

    It does indeed. I liked the 'eye' - gives it that extra character.

    It us astonishingly good to play. Love the finish. Have a VOS 345 but very different.
