Can't lie I am pretty sad to see it go, it was both stunning and so easy to play, but I already have an R8 from 2014 which I prefer the tone of and with both I could see the 2017 getting less play time once the honeymoon period passed. Better to let someone else give it the attention it deserves.

In the meantime, I'll be passing the time with the 2014 (as this is effectively a Les Porn thread now here is a pic):

I liked the look of the 2017 you’re returning but I can see why. That 2014 is easily one of the nicest looking R8s I’ve seen. Perfect.

Anyway, for those who are looking for an R8 that is a lightweight 8lb10oz, and that feels superb to play, I'm sure it will be up for sale again soon at Peach.

I know plenty of real bursts had the fretboard - neck pickup gap as proven by plenty of sources. Still turns me off though, even on one with a nice top like this.

If it were buy it now. They’ve listed as auction so clearly looking to make a decent profit on it. Which they’re perfectly within their rights to do and I’m sure we’ll see more of these in the next week

It just oozes vintage and classic rock/blues. I can't believe how different it is from my 2017 Standard, they're honestly like two opposite ends of the spectrum, which is obviously great for me.

+ the Fat, poorly proportioned/shaped headstock that appears on all the recent USA lines. Bring back the 2002 shaped ones on the USA lines  your R8 looks bloody lovely btw.

If an original buyer uses the loan option... then sells the guitar... and goes on to default on the loan... does that mean the 2nd owner would have to surrender the guitar to the finance company? (I think it works that way with cars that have outstanding finance).
