Well, I’m on a train!

All going well so far bar the minor panic when I thought I’d left my phone at home.  Frantically trying to call Mrs F via Messenger on my iPad, borrowing the guard’s phone to ring the house....  (it’s possible to drive to the next station before the train gets there).  I eventually get a message to her via Messenger and the next second my phone rings....  in my rucksack.

Cue much relief, followed by a telling off from the ticket collector because I’m apparently in a ‘quiet carriage’.

Six trains is quite epic. I had three trains to Dawlish and managed to miss a connection. 
Information at railway stations is often piss poor so be alert.

Train number 2!



I took a little train train from my local station to Swansea.  The train above is the 07:29 to London Paddington.  I’ve already managed to spill hot tea on my bollocks and on the train seat.  Apologies if you’re some Exec on their way to a meeting and sit in my tea stain.

I’m now on the 08:30 Cardiff to Portsmouth Harbour.  I made my own sandwiches, which I’ll probably demolish before the train reaches the tunnel under the sea.
