I've been through fuzz pedals like there's no tomorrow, but my Expresso FX custom with a treble booster is ridiculous, just sounds vintage but modern at the same time
Steymon Flint & Deco, both expensive but both will never leave my board
Ceriatone Horsebreaker....I didn't realise how much I needed it till I played it

Wow, over 50 replies, and not a single mention of the KOT.

This is my most expensive pedal to date, but set with all controls at 2 o’clock it just ‘works’ with every guitar into every amp in every situation, and being predominantly a Tele player, I appreciate the ‘no nonsense’ approach to a set-and-forget pedal.
I really like my KOT but as it was a Fuzzdog kit it wasn't particularly expensive!

Indespesible - Thorpy Fat General. The best £200 + spent on an "always on" pedal. The rest come and go as the mood takes

    ZVex SHO.
Ridiculously expensive considering it's only got about 3 components in it and I couldn't care less about it being hand painted, but it does sound great.

Not an effect pedal but a pedal sized amp.
    The ZVex Nano Head.
    Utterly brilliant little thing.

Hmmmm! there's one on ebay £249 and Reverb for £300... I've been tempted by one of these for sometime

... And back in 2007 when I bought a new big box DMM for £120 that was a LOT of money for a pedal. I thought I'd done well selling it for £150 a few years later *cries*

    Unit 67.

A combination of compression EQ post and range master. Beautifully applied.  Addictive.

DD500 was a good buy. Can’t imagine ever needing more delay than that thing can provide!

Dimebag Cry Baby from Hell -- which I've just seen is discontinued.
It was a lot of money for only a wah -- there's not exactly a computer in there.
My old wah sounded wrong with my new amps.
The CBfH was the answer because you can fiddle with its sound in just the right ways to match the amp and guitar and get what you're after.  I'm sure no one other than me noticed -- but that could be said about every pedal I suppose.

Hudson Sidecar, I like it so much I have two on my board, one low gain, one high and a boost for volume increase all through a QMX.and into a Plethora (which is wasted on me really!) ....such is my delight in the Sidecars, Ive not  considered buying any other drive pedals.....thats me, done!....Really!

I can get by with most things. But back in the day when I pretty much just got started with pedals, I got these Malekko analog delays which were quite pricey for me at the time. Anyway, they were amazing. I really loved them, and stupidly sold them at some point, and now they don't make them anymore!

At the time I wasn't sure if buying them was the right thing to do, but it really was. I made tons of music with those things, before I even got my first digital delay which was a Line 6 DL-4 !!

    Bye!

Catalinbread Talisman.  Stupidly expensive for a pedal that just does plate reverb and that’s it, but it sounds fantastic.
