I remember less tech type arcade games .....
my favourite was Mad Dog McGee where you strapped on a holster with a six-shooter and stood in front of a video where you entered a Cowboy world of Saloons and Tumbleweed Streets to be challenged on the draw by various gunslingers
I used to be fascinated as a kid by those little cranes with a wheel that could pick up a Mars bar or a milky way and drop it down a chute ....they were quite impossible

Ha ha! I remember some kid down our street had that and we were AMAZED that you could play a game on your TV set, it seemed like the best thing ever at the time!

    I forgot Sega Rally.

    Lancia Delta Integrale ftw!
Yes! There was a cheat for Sega Rally 2 where you could access the original 2 cars

The Ninja Turtles Arcade game and NBA Jam will always be classics to me.
Ninja turtles was great. Gauntlet and golden axe used to eat alott of my money as well.
What you realise as an adult who grew up feeding these machines as a child (no Bombjack love yet? For shame!) is just how cynically, brutally hard they were to get you dropping in the coins. And yet we did, which is the other thing you realise - they were bloody good. That ‘just one more go’ hook is very hard to get right.

Loved arcade games as a kid. It was a different age, when they were so much better than the games you could even dream of playing at home.

Final Fight, Turtles, Wrestlefest, Mortal Kombat... Daytona USA, NBA Jam, Chase HQ, Sega Rally, Street Fighter II. There must be loads more. Somehow they all bring back clear memories of where I was when I played them with my brother and my mates.

Subbed to your channel and am away to follow on Instagram. Cheers!

That was it for me as well the fact the arcades were so much more advanced than the home Consoles. Couple with the fact they were relatively hard to access (ie usually just on holidays) just made them so incredibly exciting!

    Thanks for the sub bud

Not sure if it counts as an arcade game although I do remember seeing it occasionally on arcade amchines but gauntlet would be worth a review!

Gauntlet was definitely an arcade game first, it was quite innovative as I recall with the split four-player mode and choice of characters.

That's pretty much my list. I was never good enough on Pac Land to get over the longer pool, and never good enough at Track n Field to go round a 2nd time.

I was top on Hyper Sports tho.

I can consistently get to the hammer throw on Track and Field but then it’s pure luck if I manage to get passed that

i once managed to set a world record on it completely by accident
