I’m not much of a Rolling Stones fan but Gimme Shelter has always been one of my favourite intros.

Been listening to early Eagles a bit lately, I am almost finished reading Heaven and Hell by Don Felder, and am very impressed with the piano intro, played by Glenn Frey, of Desperado.  Works kinda OK on the guitar too but amazing on a piano.

I’m amazed it took 3 pages to get to the obvious answer. Thoroughly agree on both points.

Spot on. Only discovered them last year and got all 3 albums. Just got Theresa Wayman’s solo LP, as well. I’m totally smitten... with her Mustang, obviously.
