    Twilight Zone music...

It was mentioned in the first two post of this thread for good reason

The 25 Most Iconic Album Covers Of All Time uDiscover
Oddly reminiscent of Their Satanic Majesty’s request.

Edit:  vice versa it seems, from Wikipedia.  The Stones one was released December 67, the Beatles’ in May 67.

Beatles definitely first. IIRC the Beatles faces are hidden somewhere on the Stones cover in reference to Sgt Pepper.

Not sure how to post images but I'm surprised nobody has suggested Bitches Brew.  The cover of Milestones (where Miles is wearing the green shirt and looking like the coolest guy who ever lived) is another great cover.

I'd go as far as everything up to Seventh Son.

Bit weird when you think about it but I spent my formative years with Eddie gurning at me from all four walls
me too, in fact I'd say a lot of the singles too. Even the Cinderella christmas card used for the entire population of hackney lp .

I love the Eddie the Head art too. It’s not even the actual drawing that's particularly great, it's good, but, for me, it's the world that was created. There's almost a continuity or story running through it but not always obvious. Even jumping back and forward and overlapping dimensions, dreams and insanity. I've always found it quite intriguing.

Man - Be Good To Yourself At Least Once A Day

As well as one of the best covers, it contains the best lyrics too:

    I like to eat bananas
    'Cos they got no bones
    I like marijuana
    'Cos it gets me stoned…

I remember when that was out.  I was a big fan of Rodney Matthews' artwork, I used to buy his calendars every year.
I don't think the content of the album really lived up to the cover, but perhaps it's time to listen to it again.

    @Philly_Q ;
Loud 'n' Proud is my favourite album of theirs but this cover is great. I love all the Rodney Matthew's, Roger Dean, Frazetta cover art.

I think I owned two albums at one point including that so the 15 year old me really loved it.  The other one was Jazz by Queen which may have aged better ( both the artwork and the contents) but I definitely preferred Nazareth at the time.

The internet is an amazing thing  - I saw Nazareth live on 3/12/1980.

I just love that cover. Stein has said something deadpan, the rest of the band are nearly pissing themselves but Debbie is not amused…

I actually think Eat To The Beat is a marginally better album, but Parallel Lines is the definitive one.
