You certainly see a lot more Blonde and TV Yellow guitars than you do Orange, Green or Purple guitars for example.
My problem with yellow - and I mean bright yellow - is it's a sort "look at me, I'm fun" colour, i.e. all a bit too Timmy Mallet and Mr Blobby
I sold it and I can't remember why. Probably decided it didn't sound nice, but never bothered to change amp settings
I am fun so that's probably why I like them

As for guitars, I haven't actually got any yellow guitars apart from a TV Yellow LP Special. That DC Junior above does look very nice but I personally prefer Cherry for that model (and I've got a TV White one).
I really like TV Yellow on SGs, but you don't see it very often.
And by similar logic, aren't most properly-coloured acoustics basically yellow too?
just because you do, doesn't mean you should.
