Why is yellow such an unpopular colour for guitar?

Just as well you have the double humbucker version and live far away from me or else I might have been hunting you down like Liam Neeson to see if it was the one I had stolen ;)

@BillDL Thanks, I was trying to remember the name of those Switch guitars the other day, in connection with some other thread.  Can't remember what thread it was now though...
Was it a thread about yellow guitars?
I think it might have been something to do with orange guitars... actually I think it was about guitars made of non-traditional materials!  I had a mental image of an orange Switch guitar, but I could only remember a brand called Zip guitars which turned out to be something completely different.

Never really considered buying one, but I did think it looked interesting.

I anticipate a toneplastic debate in due course.

  • Yellow is always good - especially on a guitar that clashes with itself ;-)

Ohhhh that's awesome. I want one. Headstock isn't quite as awesome as the body though.

Agree about the headstock but I kind of like the finish - Liked those 'smear' finishes that Tyler offer

Never done it, but somehow fancied getting 4/5/6 brushes and 4/5/6 paints then just 'drip splash' or 'flick splash' a finish on a guitar - Don't know why - Maybe something we did at school one day when mucking about in the art lesson

  • I don't mind it, orange is better though. I've always fancied an orange strat but either would need to be dulled/aged rather than shiny gloss.
