Just shows how subjective these things are; Crowded House I can see the argument, but Iris is several kinds of meh in my book.

Links too much bother on phone, but the answer is "Baby I Love You" by The Ronettes. I think Brian Wilson also has it as his favourite.

Crowded House are one of my favourite bands; I was on a driving holiday in the US when Don't Dream Its Over was getting lots of airplay and I've liked them ever since. Temple Of Low Men is a great album beginning to end, as are Woodface and Together Alone I've also got a Live On Earth CD of the time I went to see them at Wembley; ordered on the way in and collected on the way out.

However, Dancing Queen is the best pop song of all times; I know it's popularist to say so, but it just is.

Hard to define what pop actually is, it's a moving target as far as I'm concerned.  Not sure if this falls into best pop, but in my book it's certainly perfect pop.
