Guns and Roses were a mixed bag. The band were competent, but felt like a high quality Guns and Roses tribute band, Slash was exceptional and is really just as good as he always was, but Axl just can't hit the notes anymore and he seems to have lost a lot of stage presence (although it's nice to see that he seems to be in reasonable shape these days)
Agree about Axl's stage presence - He's lost that 'swagger'
It was everything live music should be (though there was the harmonised sample / playing to track on Who Soon Is Now?).
I had no idea Rick Astley - as in that bloke who sang Never Gonna Give You Up back in '87 - and promptly disappeared off the face of the planet - was capable of doing this.
And I'm embarrassed to admit - though I'm familiar with The Smith's big hits - I didn't know about gems like Girlfriend In A Coma and There Is A Light. That back catalogue is spectacular.
I was blown away by Slash.
But Brian May and Michael Eavis don't get on so it will never happen.
I liked it. Never heard of the brand before. Google ahoy.
I also belatedly watched the Manics set last night and although I've never really been a fan, there was a ton of lead guitar from Bradfield. The guitar might be dead(ish) in terms of chart music, but it certainly isn't in a live setting.

Hes changed style, same as Weller has numerous times, and hopefully will continue to do so and TBHAC will be the record Artic Monkeys will be remembered for.
The caution still stands though, stay away if more than 4 regular chords in a song bother you
